I was a massive LOTR nerd. I used to collect miniatures from Games Workshop from when The Fellowship of the Ring was released, up until the Battle of the Five Armies.
I quit buying from them because Games Workshop’s prices kept increasing as time went by and any excuse they had about “the rights to Warner Bros” or the high cost of casting 1 inch miniatures just wasn’t justifiable or believable anymore.

People stop buying from them because their products get more expensive, so they jack up their prices to make up for the loss, which makes

even more people stop buying from them.
In short, Games Workshop went full retard.

Anyway, I’m slowly selling most of my Games Workshop minis. I may still keep some old miniatures, but I'm definitely not buying any miniatures from them anymore.
